C418 – Minecraft – Volume Alpha is the first official soundtrack album composed by Daniel “C418” Rosenfeld for the hugely popular video game Minecraft. It was originally released digitally on 4 March 2011 on Bandcamp and later issued on physical formats (CD, vinyl) by Ghostly International. The music is a minimalist, ambient electronic score that underpins much of the Minecraft game’s atmosphere.
